Fission Reactor
Running Requirements
Fuel components and cooling components must be placed inside
the reactor before operation
Fuel components: provide maximum parallelism; the more
adjacent fuel components there are, the more heat the reactor
generates
Cooling components: must be adjacent to fuel components and
determine the reactor's cooling limit
Temperature Management System
Initial temperature is 298K; temperature decreases by 1K per
second while idle
When cooling has no effect, heat gained per second = base recipe
heat × (adjacent fuel components + 1)
Each fuel recipe has a different base heat value, shown on its
recipe page
Above 1500K, the reactor continuously takes damage and, when
fully damaged, explode
Cooling System
Cooling activates when the coolant input exceeds the cooling
demand; coolant consumption per second is limited by the
cooling limit
Every 800 mB of Distilled Water or 20 mB of Sodium Potassium
can satisfy 1 unit of cooling demand
Cooling demand = base recipe heat × actual parallel × current
temperature / 1500
Cooling limit = (cooling components - adjacency / 3) × 8
If the coolant input is below the cooling demand, cooling has no
effect this time
Overclocking mechanism
Trigger condition: Coolant input ≥ n × cooling demand
Effect: Adds n times the base processing speed
Cooling liquid output
Distilled Water cooling:
Produces steam, Output = consumption × min(160, 160/(1.4^(373-
temperature)))
Sodium Potassium cooling:
≤825K: Hot Sodium Potassium; >825K: Supercritical Sodium
Potassium
Built-in Parallel Mechanism
Built-in parallel processing, no parallel control hatch required
Max Parallel: Number of Fuel Components
Recipe Type: Fission Reactor
A new employee transferred from Mekanism brought this thing
along
Not sure if it's intellectual property infringement, but after all it
works well
