An employee of GTO Group was waiting in front of the alloy smelter
for the molten alloy to be ready.
He is the operator of this machine, responsible for feeding metal
powder raw materials into the smelter, then pouring the molten
alloy into molds and sending them to the vacuum freezer.
This is a task that requires high concentration, as any mistake could
lead to substandard alloy quality.
One day, while he was busy operating the machine, he suddenly
heard a loud bang.
He quickly turned around and saw the lid of the smelter blown off,
with molten alloy spewing out.
This meant that the alloy was wasted, and he might face a severe
scolding from the manager.
He quickly checked and cleaned up the scene, and found that the
alloy was not completely wasted.
When the protective gas sprayed out with the molten alloy, some of
the alloy was cooled into small particles.
He carefully collected these particles and found that their quality
was no different from alloy ground into powder.
The manager, upon hearing this, not only did not scold him but also
documented the unexpected process and developed this machine
specifically for producing metal powders from molten fluids.
However, the produced metal powder still needs to be sent back to
the blast furnace to be turned back into workable metal ingots.
