Recently started a new save and played with others (as shown on the cover), so I revised the old guide, intending to turn it into a more comprehensive tutorial.
Currently modified to "ulv".
1. Stone Age
If it's a multiplayer game, don't team up first, you can get more copper coins and subsidies (but if communication is not timely, you might accidentally do the same machine twice).
mc classic mining and running around, collecting 4 sets of logs has hidden rewards, and half a set of saplings can give structure, meteorite, biome compass, which can be used to find structures, biomes, etc.
Biomes and Structures
It is recommended to go to the jungle to get cocoa beans. Later, you can make magic cookies to fully restore hunger. The lush caves have a lot of clay. To make an earth furnace, you need clay (or you can dig some while exploring. With the first earth furnace, you can go to the ancient times; there is clay everywhere).
The loot box in the structure is very important. If you find steel, etc., you can directly make high-pressure machines in the steam age.
More important structures: brick tower ( bandit tower ), village (can exchange AE crystals, simple villager mod can make iron farm convenient).
Copper coin usage
Spend frugally, this item is limited.
Recommended to exchange: Construction Wand (for infinite building materials), Furnace Set (just a few is enough), Super Tank (steam buffer, store nitrogen, oxygen, etc., exchange a moderate amount more), Portable Fluid Cell 1 (to store a bunch of products from ULV distillation and various fluids from chemical reactions), Godforged Pearl 1 (to make Treasure Forge, otherwise you have to go to the End to kill the Mythic Boss), Precision Steam Components (exchange at LV, large solar, large grinding, etc., all good stuff).
Build base
With the previous building wand, you have unlimited building materials. Find a wet place like a river to lay floors (because the water pump produces more in wet areas, see the water pump task for details). You can also build at a high place (convenient to jump down when hungry). Remember to /sethome.
1. The Steam Age
Steam kit: alloy, grinding, compression, forging. Early mineral resources are tight, don't rush and not use the forging hammer.
The alloy furnace should keep burning bronze (make a simple automation). Once enough bronze is obtained, produce the steam casting furnace (a multi-block alloy furnace).
At the same time, don't forget to push the main line. Once the first steel ingot is out, immediately prepare a steam crusher to double the ore (one of the few pleasures in GTO, but the cost is a very long era without a plate rolling machine).
Next, besides continuing to progress, the lathe up to ULV has cheap rods (unfortunately cannot make steel rods), you also need to make a grinder, compressor, forging hammer (the base speed of the small forging hammer is very fast; if you set up automation for the alloy furnace output to automatically go into the hammer, then you don't need to make it). Then there is the centrifuge (required for the task), the leap blast furnace (parallel and time reduction) (these two are needed for ULV, can be made later but must be done).
A very important point: share structures to reduce mechanical block consumption.
2. ulv
Primitive Distillation Tower, Bronze Boiler, and Steam Cracking are required for the main quest. Here are a few additional points.
1. Bronze Boiler: At this stage, there is not such a high demand for steam, so there is no need to use it to produce steam (the Large Solar Boiler is sufficient, and there is no need to consider fuel).
If it is for the water gas of the main mission, do this: throttle valve 25, do not add water, add fuel, wait for the temperature to rise to the corresponding value; remove the fuel, add coal slurry, set throttle valve to 100.
Yes, an explosion will only occur if water is suddenly supplied after heating, or if the water supply is cut off after both supplying water and heating.
2. Steam cracking: (A garbage machine with 0.4 yield, its only purpose is to block progress) Disassemble materials from other steam multiblocks, process a small amount of naphtha and then disassemble (a LV chemical reactor can achieve 0.5x cracking rate). The subsidies given by the task are enough to make LV chemical reactors and assemble them. After that, you can use 1 piece of polyethylene to make an LV casing.
3. Raw distillation tower, other wiki has temperature control tutorial,
Reminder: It can run petrochemical distillation, but woodification won't work. Assuming you can set up a petrochemical processing system before HV, then the phenol needed for MV circuit boards, and benzene and oil for power generation will be easily obtained, allowing a good transition to normal petrochemicals (it is recommended to do this during the MV era after having ME drivers, etc., otherwise fluid storage will be very troublesome).
The remaining two, the treasure forge and the boss summoner, the lv stage will be discussed together with the slaughterhouse.
Updated to here, after 0.5 the slaughterhouse mechanism changes, use capture enchantment to kill deified boss to get boss summoner (item), then can insert into slaughterhouse to farm gems.
3. lv
You can consider doing some lv after finishing the basic machine.
What should be done when pushing the main storyline.
1. Electric Blast Furnace: Old GT players will stack two units and share the middle coil and input/output. The nitrogen produced by centrifuging air is used here.
3. Liquefied gas stove: There's nothing much to say,
Note: If you intend to use the modules mentioned below, it is best to keep the blast furnace position fixed.
steam machines
Remember to add the multiblock mentioned in the first part. Now it is strongly recommended to make a steam mine.
1. Large-scale ore washing: (If you find it troublesome, use ordinary ore washing)
2. Large thermal centrifugation: (actually because only large thermal centrifugation) The thermal centrifugation aluminum production of the aluminum garnet series is much higher than that of electrolysis.
3. Forging hammer: Process the refined ore, because the byproduct of grinding is only available at HV.
Slaughterhouse and Myth Upgrade (Important)
1. Boss summoner: (to obtain mythical materials, currently mainly need luminous crystals) On top, use magic source stones to make a 'Nether portal', vertical 1x2 or horizontal is fine; place a magic source tank next to it; a warp scroll, position bound to inside the slaughterhouse, then throw it into the door to open the portal (if it's a stable warp scroll, it can cross dimensions). All monsters generated this way will enter the slaughterhouse. The energy warehouse affects production speed.
2. Slaughterhouse (version 0.4.9.2): (Actually no power consumption required.) Turn on entity generation mode (disable AI), input bus sends employee sword, output bus connects to large chest, output port places experience obelisk (material requires soul sand).
In this way, you can farm experience. (If you don't want the drops, you should be able to remove the output bus, though I haven't tried it specifically.)
3. Treasure Furnace: (The main block requires mythic-quality materials. You can use a boss summoner in the End; the End requires adventure to collect 12 eyes, needs spacesuit and oxygen) Mainly for making upgrade modules (mentioned in the ULV task)
Key point: Upgrade module, maximum can speed 0.5, energy 0.5. The experience consumed affects the upper limit of the effect (should be a probability distribution between the upper limit and 1), reaching maximum at level 100; you can install multiple modules on the same machine to multiply.
Level 10 experience, almost all spawned are above 0.95. Installing too many low-level modules may cause effect regression.
Power amplifier: increases speed and energy consumption while keeping total consumption unchanged; it can also be considered a lossless overclocking. Assuming you have accumulated enough energy upgrades, you can add an amplifier to max out the speed. Alternatively, if your home power generation only supports three 16A energy hubs, which cannot trigger the third overclocking, you can also use this to trigger triple energy consumption with 0.33 speed for a lossless overclocking.
4. MV
The multi-blocks listed at the top of the task are not very useful. Only until Hv do they have manufacturing productivity or use value, so wait until hv.
Things to do
1. Pyrolysis furnace and log imitation field: directly obtain coal tar, convenient for phenolic resin production. Alternatively, consider producing benzene for power generation (if there is a power generation tutorial, delete this and paste the link).
5. HV
"The episode that needs the most settling", need petrification lines, AE template automation, etc., first complete the left and upper parts of the tasks before considering the rocket matters.
Very consumable stainless steel (hoping you have enough mythic upgrade stacks), currently it seems that dual HV voltage Kanthal has the property of lossless overclocking stainless steel.
Circuit assembly
Set up two large steam electric assemblies, each doubling the production of lv and mv processor circuits.
Mining Department
After heat separation, proceed to the grinder.
Petrochemical Line
fluid drilling - distillation - desulfurization - cracking - distillation
Distillation column is easy to break, it is recommended to use film or automatic maintenance (EV circuit is very expensive).
If you really lack stainless steel, then it is recommended to first proceed with 11-layer distillation, cracking, and polymerization, and use chemical reaction to solve the desulfurization step.
With complete petrification, you can go for petrification-based power generation.
Component assembly
Starting from the MV level, templates and organs etc. require a large number of MV components.
General Factory
Wait until going to the moon, after having titanium ingots, make the overall framework of hv.
6. EV
Temporarily vacant, but remember, the new circuit requires 3 new multi-blocks. Pay attention to the multi-block materials, the smelting of corresponding ingots cannot stop.
Expansion modules on reaction furnaces and blast furnaces, acceleration chambers,
