Fully Automatic Magic Enchanting Table – Infinite Enchanting
Author: @Third Alien
1. Theoretical Foundation
When using a Mana Enchantment Table, place the item to be enchanted into the table (by right‑clicking) and drop an enchantment book into the obsidian ring; enchantment is performed by consuming mana.
If an enchanted book contains multiple enchantment entries, only the first entry will be applied. An enchanted book can be enchanted infinitely (note that you must place the item in a regular enchanting table to check whether the specified entry can be enchanted). The higher the level of an enchantment, the more mana it consumes and the longer the enchanting process takes.
For the specific construction process of the Magic Enchantment Table, please refer to the Plant Magic Dictionary.
2: Structural Construction
- Magic Pool Spark Cluster
By placing Sparks above a Mana Enchanter and placing Sparks above dozens of Furuix Magic Pools—after setting the pools to export mana, which can be toggled by right‑clicking a pool while holding a Forest Wand in Shift‑+right‑click mode—the more Magic Pools and Sparks you have, the faster enchanting becomes.
- Interact with items at the enchanting table.
The Magic Book of Newborn Thaumcraft utilizes the “Projectile → Interaction” spell (use the C key to craft the spell, and the V key to quickly select it). Right‑clicking the timed spell cannon allows you to configure this spell. Place an item container next to the timed spell cannon (items can be exported from the AE network via the ME Output Bus into the container), and the timed spell cannon will automatically interact with the items in that container using the Magic Enchantment Table.
The Timed Spell Cannon requires mana to fire spells; a Mana Source Tank can be placed nearby to supply mana. In this example, an ME Mana Source Tank is used to draw mana from the AE network for spellcasting.
- High-Frequency Redstone and Automatic Enchantment Confirmation
By placing a ring of Redstone around the detector, you can easily construct high‑frequency Redstone circuits. Use Redstone P2P channels paired with ME Infinite Connectors to quickly set up one‑to‑many high‑frequency Redstone networks. Insert a Memory Card and right‑click the Redstone P2P channel to create Channel A; then, right‑click the same Redstone P2P channel again with the Memory Card to read Channel A (the Memory Card’s Channel A can be read by any number of Redstone P2P channels). Next, point the emitter’s front face toward the Mana Enchanter, place Forest Law (Work Mode) inside the emitter, and after the Redstone P2P channel has read Channel A, position a Redstone block facing the emitter. At this point, if the Mana Enchanter contains unenchanted items and there are enchantable books within range around the Mana Enchanter, the emitter will automatically use the Forest Wand to consume mana and execute the enchantment process on the Mana Enchanter.
Placing a World Accelerator next to a Magic Enchanter can speed up the enchanting process at the Magic Enchanter. The World Accelerator must be set to Block Entity Mode (right‑click the World Accelerator with a Screwdriver to toggle the mode).
- Auto-Throw Enchanted Books and Collected Items
The ME output bus can automatically dispense enchanted books into the lattice box.
Place an Item Filter Card (with Enchanted Books marked inside) in the Blacklist Mode on the Basic Item Collector near the Flower Box. This allows the Basic Item Collector to automatically gather all items except Enchanted Books. Remember to use an ME Input Bus to route the items into the AE Network.
Place the Basic Item Collector a short distance away from the Flower Grid Box, then insert an Item Filter Card configured for Whitelist Mode (with an Enchanted Book marked inside). This will ensure that the Basic Item Collector only automatically collects that specific Enchanted Book. Remember to use an ME Input Bus to route items into the AE Network—be sure to use a Basic Item Collector and position it slightly farther away, as collecting the Enchanted Book too quickly may overwhelm the Magic Enchantment Table, preventing it from successfully enchanting items.
- Magic input into the AE network
The Magic Garden uses a standard Magic Output Chamber; simply place a Fruix Magic Pool in front of it to automatically output magic into the AE network (you’ll need to configure the chamber to import magic into the Magic Pool—toggle the Magic Pool’s mode by holding Shift and right‑clicking the pool while wielding the Forest Wand). The AE network must contain magic storage components capable of storing magic (or use more advanced ME Storage Units to store magic).
The Mana Garden is a large-scale mana production facility—here, we’re using a Mana Garden that generates 96,636 mana pools per second. Without a Mana Garden, you can still import mana from ordinary mana pools into the AE network by simply using regular mana pools paired with an ME Input Bus (you’ll need to construct the corresponding mana generation infrastructure yourself).
Here, a Volcanic Magic Source Channel is used to burn Blaze Rods into High-Flame Wood Logs for Magic Source production (via a Grate Box + ME Output Bus that automatically deposits High-Flame Wood Logs). By placing Magic Source Tanks + ME Input Buses around the channel, Magic Sources can be automatically fed into the AE Network. The AE Network must be equipped with Magic Source Storage Components capable of storing Magic Sources (or alternatively, use more advanced ME Storage Units to store Magic Sources).
Placing a World Accelerator next to a Volcanic Mana Channel can increase the mana production rate of the channel. The World Accelerator must be set to Block Entity Mode (right‑click the World Accelerator with a screwdriver to toggle its mode).
3. Specific Functions
Use the Source Priming Reconstructor circuit’s 4‑mode batch item decomposition feature to break down items into their corresponding Enchantment Essences (note that 20‑level Enchantment Books can be decomposed normally; however, decomposing 32‑level Enchantment Books may cause the game to crash if too many Enchantment Essences are generated—no specific testing has been conducted on Enchantment Books between levels 20 and 32).
① Can be used to automate the acquisition of Enchantment Essences—essential for crafting the Sorcery Machine Block—that cannot be obtained through the three BOSS Summoners (Life Repair, Exploitation, and Berserker’s Fury) or the four modes of the Fishing Farm Circuit.
②
Enchantment Essences can be used to automate the crafting of Hero Medals.
③
Using the Source Reconstruction Machine’s Circuit 5 mode, you can craft enchantment books up to level 32 (requiring a large quantity of enchantment essence; you can obtain substantial amounts of enchantment essence by using fully automated magic enchantment tables to mass‑produce enchantment books).
