[0.6.0dev19] Original distillation tower lazy method

No need for cooling, speed is about 1/6 of max speed

The materials are a piston, a heater (not electric), 15 redstone alloy wires, and a lever

Just place them as shown in the picture. The heater and the thermal cell are adjacent, and the two towers share the thermal cell.

Keep the heater temperature around 400so the primitive distillation tower doesn't run continuously, so it won't overheat without top cooling

If the heater temperature is too high, the temperature at the top of the tower accumulates, which may trigger a 20x runtime penalty, making it very slow.

For ULVs, you can skip the small tower and only build the tall one. Just ensure there are 13 red alloy wires between the heater and the piston.

If you are using 056beta, you can shorten the wire length appropriately, and shut down when it is around 400.

In the front, I've placed wooden pipes connected to 4 2x2 fluid drawers. The output slot can output without needing to set up extraction, just connect it. Even the lowest tier wooden pipes are sufficient.
